Stars for Our Troops

Stars_for_our_Troops_Logo_2013LT’s Grill is proud to host the patriotic volunteer group Stars for Our Troops on the first Tuesday of every month.  Volunteers come from all over the region to repurpose worn-out flags into a beautiful tribute for military servicemen and women, and veterans.  Stars are carefully removed from the flag, paired with a thank-you note, and given to service members as a gesture of appreciation.

The first Stars for Our Troops meeting at LT’s Grill was held on Tuesday, Feb. 3.  And while the group that came was small, they filled our restaurant with laughter and fun.  While the adults trimmed the fabric around the stars, the kids colored the thank-you notes. We provided the volunteers with pizza to keep their spirits high as they worked. We also kept a jar of stars, and our waitstaff will be handing them out to both veterans and active-duty service members.
